About the role
Front end web designers at Coco Design turn approved design concepts into working website pages. The role sits between design and development: you take a visual direction and build clean, responsive page layouts that match it, working alongside our designers and developers through launch.
What the work involves
- Building responsive page layouts from design mockups using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Collaborating with designers to refine layouts, typography, and imagery for the web
- Working with developers to integrate front end code into content management systems and custom applications
- Testing pages across browsers and devices, including phones and tablets
- Applying web accessibility best practices so sites work for every visitor
- Updating and maintaining existing client websites
What we look for
- Professional experience with a strong background in the web development industry
- A portfolio of launched website work you can walk us through
- Strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- An eye for design detail — spacing, typography, and consistency matter here
- Clear communication with both clients and teammates
